Everyone’s least favourite copyright-grabbing newspaper group Scotsman Publications, seems so strapped to find photographers to sign its rights-grabbing contract that it was forced to rely on freelance reviewers providing them with pictures on camera phones during the Edinburgh Festival. In an interview with www.journalism.co.uk, Alistair Brown, general manager at Scotsman.com revealed “we had to supply all reviewers for the Scotsman with photo phones”. After the way they treated their freelancers, we’re not surprised.
