The Telegraph Magazine had commissioned a series on provincial cities and I used to motor down to Salisbury and Southampton to catch the evening light. They were interested in the photographer’s view so I was free to choose my own subject matter and when I took the pictures. The kit ? Handheld Nikon FM2 with 180mm f2.8.
