An exhibition chronicling the first 24 hours of the New Year and featuring 24 images from 24 international photographers will go on display at the AoP gallery next week.
The 24 group have undertaken to extend the project over 24 years creating an ongoing and developing catalogue of images that explore photography’s role in documenting a changing society.
Born in 2004, 24 began as a study project for 24 students at St. Martin’s School of Art. Now in its fifth year and established as a regular event in the London Arts calendar, the project continues to grow and evolve echoing the personal, professional and artistic development of the participants and their lives.
24-2008 will be on display at the Association of Photographers’ gallery at 81 Leonard Street, London EC2 from 3-8 March. The exhibition is also part of EAST, a four day festival celebrating the cultural diversity of East London.
