Former picture editor Paul Venskunas, who died recently, has been honoured by the Dogs Trust, who have named a puppy in memory of him.
“PV” is a 7 month old blue/brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier who was found as a stray in Surrey. He was bought into The Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre in Harefield, and he is now looking for a loving new home.
Paul Venskunas and “PV”
Venskunas, the well respected night Picture Editor at the Mail on Sunday was a fan of Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and donations from his memorial service at Mary’s Church in Ealing last month were given to The Dogs Trust.
Paul’s widow Suzanne Venskunas said “PV is lovely and so cute! I hope he finds a good home soon. Please give my thanks to all Paul’s friends who came to the memorial service & gave so generously.”
“I was overwhelmed by the number of people who turned up and it gave me a great morale boost to see how well liked & respected Paul was by his friends & workmates in Fleet Street.”
PV is looking for new owners who are at home most of the day as he’s only a pup, and his new family need to be prepared to do all the basic training with him.
