Crisis – Conor Masterson, 2008

18 September 2008

I shot this portrait earlier this year whilst working for the homeless charity Crisis.

Conor Masterson was born in Dublin, Ireland. He moved to the UK in 1995 where he got a job as a photographer near Nottingham. settling in London two years later. The majority of his work is for commercial and advertising clients with some editorial. When he first left school he wanted to be a painter so went to Art college. Part of his course involved media studies and photography. He changed direction completely and left the pencils and brushes behind. He has been shooting art photography for his personal work ever since.

Photographer since 1995, EPUK member since 2006.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
