On the ball - Terry Harris, 2005

On the ball- Terry Harris, 2005
Photographer since 2005, EPUK member since 2006.

This picture was taken during Barry Fry’s Testimonial (2005) at London Road, Home of Peterborough United. It was a sell out 15,000 and Ryan Giggs nearly landed in my lap as the shot was taken with a 70-200 at 88mm.

I like the shot because it shows both players and the ball off the ground.

It has won me a cup for a panel of prints (Footballers at work) during the Peterborough Photographic Society’s Annual exhibition at the Local Museum and Art Gallery.

Terry Harris has been a professional photographer for just under a year, after spending three years as a semi-professional photographer. His clients include Trinity Mirror, the League Paper, Budget Insurance, Deeson and the East of England Agricultural Society to name a few. Photographer since 2005, EPUK member since 2006.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
