Staten Island Ferry- Geraint Lewis , 1999

This picture was taken on my first trip to New York in January 1999.

One of the musts of New York is the Staten Island Ferry. I was sitting inside the ferry when I noticed through the window these people videoing. The reflection did the rest.

Born in Cardiff and now based in Oxford, Geraint Lewis began working professionally in 1988 as a freelance for The Independent, covering all aspects of life for the paper. Since then he has worked editorially for national newspapers and magazines as well as shooting PR and corporate photography. He now works mainly in the arts doing portraits, features and performance. Geraint also shoots reportage photography such as this one featured.
