The preparations are complete for one of the most eagerly awaited internet events of recent years: Google’s secretive two-day ‘customer innovation conference’ at its headquarters in Mountain View, California next month. The rules for the conference have been made absolutely clear by Google chief Larry Page: “No press coverage. No blogging.” The guest list ? 400 high profile bloggers and journalists: in short, pretty much everyone whose job it is to find out secrets then tell as many people as possible. Good luck with that whole secrecy thing, Larry.
