EPUK Editorial Photographers United Kingdom and Ireland. The private mailing list and public resource for editorial photographers

The Brangelina saga

Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love with girl. Boy and Girl love each other very much and Girl becomes pregnant. Boy and girl are pursued by paparazzi and head to Namibia for the birth, as you do, amid tight security. Boy and girl sell rights to first images to Getty. Getty sell first US rights to People for $4m, and first UK rights to Hello for $3.5m, with an estimated $10m being raised for charity. Boy and girl furious that pictures are leaked onto the internet. And, if you ask us, Boy and Girl should let a responsible grown-up pick the names from now on.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
