A photographer tracked down a hard-up couple who hadn’t paid for their wedding photographs to hand over the snaps, 27 years after the event.
Wedding photographer Jim Wagner, who is now 80, found Karen and Mark Cline’s wedding album during a clear-out. When they got married, the Clines didn’t have the $150 (£73) to cover the bill.
Mr Wagner said: “I knew she didn’t have any money back then and I just thought she might like to have it.”
After the photographer presented her with the album, Mrs Cline, who lives in Ohio, USA, told reporters she “cried and hugged him” and immediately wrote out a cheque for the full amount.
Despite Mr Wagner’s nice gesture, some readers at www.timesonline.co.uk, where the story is reported, have criticized the photographer for not handing over the snaps sooner and for accepting Mrs Cline’s decades-late payment.
