Freedman wins Amnesty Award

A big EPUK congratulations to member Stuart Freedman, whose work “Rwanda – facing the virus” for Positive Lives was last night awarded the award for Photojournalism in the annual Amnesty International UK Media Awards. The awards, now in their 15th year, recognise excellence in human rights journalism that has made a significant contribution to the UK public’s greater awareness and understanding of human rights issues. You can see some of the original photographs, and Stuart’s commentary on them here.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
