Photography giant Eastman-Kodak is to finish its involvement with
camera production after its latest efforts have failed to keep up with the digital revolution reports Freelanceuk.com
The company which brought pictures to the masses have sold out their business to Flextronics, a hi-tec Singapore company.
Kodak, whose famous slogan was ‘you press the button, we do the rest,’ will retain its intellectual property rights, but its new partner will acquire a “significant portion” of Kodak’s “associated camera design functions.”
The buyout will also see staff transferring to Japan to join the Flextronics group.
