Johnston: 100th day kidnapped

Wednesday 20th June will see vigils and demonstrations in support of kidnapped BBC Gaza correspondent and NUJ member Alan Johnston and to mark the 100th day since his kidnapping.

At 2:15pm (BST) Alan’s parents Graham and Margaret will release 100 balloons in their home village in Scotland, and all NUJ members are asked to show their support at this time by holding a minutes’ silence.

The NUJ will also deliver letters to the new Palestinian Prime Minister as well as to the UK Foreign Secretary urging them to redouble their efforts to secure Alan’s release and to the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate thanking them for their support and urging them to help keep Alan’s case high on the political agenda.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
