The work of award-winning photojournalist and EPUK member Larry Herman is to premiere at Focus On Imaging ’08 from Sunday 24th to Wednesday 27th February 2008.

The exhibition, which has taken two years to shoot, is titled ‘Waged London’ documents the working lives of millions, who, through their often low-paid labour in areas such as healthcare, transportation, manufacturing and tourism, underpin the entire economy of London.

Larry Herman’s work already enjoys international acclaim and has led to him winning several awards as well as grants from the Ford Foundation and the International Fund for Concerned Photography in New York. He was also a finalist in the International Fund for Documentary Photography, San Francisco.

“The opportunity to showcase true silver halide prints to such a large and diverse audience is great news, not just for me, but for the wider medium of monochrome photography”, said Herman.

Sponsored by Ilford Photo, the specialist monochrome business of Harman Technology, the exhibition can be seen at Herman Focus on Imaging, Stand E60, Hall 9 at the Birmingham NEC.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
