National Gallery Portrait Comp

The National Portrait Gallery is calling for entries for it’s prestigious competition that seeks to celebrate the best in portrait photography from around the world.

The brief is wide with the stipulation only that the images need to portray people ‘with the emphasis on their identity as individuals’.

This year the first prize is £12000 with further cash awarded at the judge’s discretion.

Shortlisted images will go on display at the gallery.

Entry is £16.00 per image with a maximum of six from any one person.

Register online or by post and be aware of the specific delivery instructions.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
