Jorge Lewinski, the Polish-born photographer who documented the modern art world, has died aged 86.
Lewinski, a former senior lecturer at the London College of Printing, began photographing artists in 1962 but did not become a professional photographer until six years later at the age of 47.
He retired from photography in 1995, selling his archive to the Earl of Burlington.
He is survived by his second wife, photographer Mayotte Magnus-Lewinska, two sons and a step-daughter.
The Times has a longer obituary here.
