Faked Photos Row for Reuters

Reuters is under fire for apparently wiring out pictures that had been doctored by a photographer LittleGreenFootballs reports.

The images showing the results of the Israeli attacks on Lebanon were taken by Adnan Hajj who is accused of using crude Photoshop techniques to make the devastation look worse than it actually was.

In one image of burning buildings smoke appears to have been cloned over the picture to increase it’s impact.

Reuters has moved quickly to try limit damage to its reputation by issuing a retraction.

The story has been seized on by elements of US media who criticise coverage of the war being biased towards Lebanon.
