SPPA shortlist announced

The shortlist for the prestigious First ScotRail Press Photography Awards has been announced, with sister publications The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday and Edinburgh Evening News amassing 19 shortlisted entries.

The shortlist for the prestigious First ScotRail Press Photography Awards has been announced, with Scotsman group publications The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday and Edinburgh Evening News amassing 19 shortlisted entries.

The Scotsman’s Donald Macleod has been shortlisted four times and Jane Barlow, Robert Perry, Ian Rutherford and Phil Wilkinson are each shortlisted twice.

The Herald has 15 shortlisted entries with sister titles Sunday Herald and Glasgow Evening Times also featuring strongly with 14 nominations.

Ian Rutherford, Danny Lawson, Jeff Mitchell and Gordon Terris have been shortlisted for Photographer of the Year.

Winners will be revealed on 26 March at an awards ceremony at The Mitchell in Glasgow.
