TES picture desk staff leave

Contributors to the Times Educational Supplement (TES) – sold by News Corporation to Exponent Private Equity for £235 earlier this year – have been told that most of the picture desk are to leave, with Group Picture Editor Margaret Clark and her deputy group picture editor Lindsay Cameron among the high-profile departures.

Also to leave are Joe Vel, Louise Mills, Nish Kampfner, Jo Evans and Rebecca Branton, leaving just three picture desk staff to cover the main paper, regional editions and magazines. The three remaining jobs were advertised in the Guardian last week.

The staff changes come ahead of an expected relaunch of the title later this year.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
