As we reported on EPUK, photographers stood to lose their entire copyright and moral rights for freelance work commissioned by Inside Housing magazine.
It now appears that the letters were issued by Inside in order to cover themselves against the Inland Revenue. The letters did not originate from the picture department, whose first knowledge of the matter was irate photographers on the phone.
EPUK’s contact with Inside has been friendly and we have offered advice where asked for. Inside seem like nice people to do business with – if only other publishers would follow their lead.
