Bob Wiltfong, Edinburgh – Mike Pinches, 2003

6 February 2009

Bob Wiltfong is an American comedian who was performing at the Edinburgh Fringe when I was working on a Festival paper there.

Before turning to comedy he’d spent 10 years as a local TV-news reporter so he treated his portrait as just another piece to camera. All he needed to work with was an unnecessary road marking and he did the rest.

Based in Leeds, Mike Pinches is an award winning photographer specialising in editorial and documentary work. He trained at The London College of Printing after completing a degree in Architectural Design at the University of Edinburgh. Clients include: The Guardian, The Times, Time Out, Maxim, The Prince’s Trust, UCAS, Norwich Union, Sense, Building, and Building Design.

Photographer since 2002, EPUK member since 2004.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
