Fast Footwork – Richard Tatham, 2006
Photographer since 2004, EPUk member since 2006

When Lillywhites commissioned this picture, they wanted an image that would grab the public’s attention and I think this image achieves that aim. It is seen here in Piccadilly Circus, London. This was a great assignment and satisfying too because the image, which was shot on Tuesday, was in 365 stores by the weekend. It was also published widely in magazines and has proved to be excellent publicity for my own work.

Richard’s working life has always involved photography. He began by assisting other photographers, turning professional about three years ago. Richard specialises in hair photography and does mainly fashion shoots for editorial, press & public relations clients and is increasingly gaining more advertising work, which he loves.

Photographer since 2004, EPUK member since 2006.

What is EPUK?

EPUK is an email group for professional editorial photographers who want to talk business. We don’t do techie stuff or in-crowd gossip. We don’t talk cameras or computers. What we talk about are the nuts and bolts of being in business - like copyright, licensing, fees and insurance.
